Class Reflections

In Class Reflections children focus in on Jesus' teachings and they lead the reflection themselves. They have been trained by the Chaplaincy Team to deliver these sessions.

Below, you will see a sample of a reflection where the children partook in the following (each class reflection is structured in the same 4 stages):

1. Gather

We closed our eyes and imaged we were on a walk. Picture the place you are walking and imagine God joined you on the journey. What would you say to God?

2. Word

A reading from the Holy Gospel. Psalm 148: 1-4. We responded ‘Thanks be to God’.

3. Response

Think of God as we say…

The little bugs that scream, The little beasts that creep, Among the grass that leaps, All of them were made by God. Remember that God taught us this is theirs as well as ours.

4. Mission

Before you go to sleep, think of something you will thank God for today. “I will thank God for my friends.” “That we learned lots of new things.” “I will thank God for fun.” “For all of the food we have.” “For the nature that is on Earth.”
